Video of the Larini exhaust on our Ferrari Mondial 3.4T

A Ferrari Mondial 3.4T is a rare car. A Ferrari Mondial 3.4T with a larini exhaust rarer still, but here we go with an opportunity to experience our fleet car before and after the fitting of the Larini system, so you can see and hear the difference. We have to say it has transformed the car, bringing it alive between 1500 and 3500 rpm and certainly turns heads. A must have upgrade...

Auto-design adds flair to Surrey Ferrari owners club newsletter...

We love our Ferrari's so it's natural that we don't just talk the talk, but walk the walk as well. So we went shopping and added a very rare Ferrari Mondial 3.4T coupe to the fleet (see our separate Fleet page on our site, www.auto-design.co.uk).

As a natural part of ownership we are members of the Ferrari Owners Club, so when newsletter editor Jonathan Tremlett was looking for someone to help out with production of the Surrey Ferrari mini-mag, auto-design stepped into the breach and gave the monthly publication a fresh look.

The text and images (of stunning quality) are supplied to us with a view to distributing the magazine electronically just 48 hours later, so you might say it's a quick job, but it needs to look like it has been crafted lovingly... It's great fun to do though and the club appreciate our efforts, so watch this space for an update on the next issue...

Auto-design attends Auto Italia, Brooklands 30th April...

Auto Italia picture by auto-design

Auto Italia is Brooklands Museum's biggest event of the year, and this year was no exception with a stunning variety of exotica that just kept on getting better through the day. Auto-design was out in force, with clients including QV London, Mike Wheeler and Rardley Motors and of course the Surrey Ferrari Owners Club (read about our make-over of their newsletter on our spotlight page). We arranged to arrive at Brooklands with Surrey FOC, leaving the Hilton Hotel, Cobham to the aural highlights of over 50 Ferraris including 308 GT4, 308 GTB/GTS, 348, 355, Mondial, 360, 456, 458, oh the list goes on...

By lunchtime the museum grounds were stuffed with appreciative punters, proud owners and busy traders, light relief came in the form of many of the best cars being driven out to Mercedes-Benz World next door to exercise on the track, including the rather petite Ferrari 166MM Vignale Spyder brought along by DK Engineering, a Biazzarini GT 5300 Strada - a regular at Goodwood and Brooklands and the fabulous Ferrari Enzo owned by Chris Green of Autofficina.

A beautiful day in a stunning setting surrounded by some of the best Italian cars, what more could we ask? Petrol heaven. ALF

QV London website goes live

We are proud to announce that the new QV London website is now live, take a look at www.qvlondon.co.uk. The site is a fully content managed site and will include a shop structure for the sales of spares and parts, QV will be able to post news of their racing success as well as update their pricing structures in a unique table for their fixed price services. Using stunning photography of exclusively Ferrari car details, the simple structure is easy to navigate, has a fixed head and menu and uses a simple contact form/email submit for clients to get in touch.

Just two weeks to go before we arrive at Brooklands...

Brooklands, home to auto-design

Hard to believe, but after months of planning it's just two weeks until we move to the Brooklands Business Park, just a stone's throw from the museum, the new hotel and Mercedes-Benz World.

It will be amazing to be surrounded by all that history - from Campbell to Concorde, so we need to stay focussed and not be tempted to nip over the road where it is easy to loose a couple of hours trying out a new MB AMG or getting lost in the aero sheds at the museum.

Really excited about the future for auto-design, just mixing our marketing skills and enthusiasm for all things mechanical will mean we should be able to really get under the skin of these projects, produce some great work and have some fun along the way... Hope you come along too!
